The first day of racing for the Australian F16 National Championships provided excellent conditions for racing. A steady 15 knot breeze from the South East on flat water created perfect racing conditions for the races 1 and 2. The stronger wind favoured the sloop rigged boats who had quicker boat speed around the course. Tony Barrett sailed very well on his blade to keep in touch with the sloop rigged Vipers, however it was Adrian and Jess from Queensland who sailed consistently well to take out both races ahead of Pimm and Marleen from Western Australia. Here are the results for race 1 and 2.
